Prof. Dr. Julinda Mehilli was the first chief physician at the LAKUMED clinics to head the clinic for cardiology, pulmonology and internal intensive care medicine at the Landshut-Achdorf hospital. Prof. Dr. Mehilli is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology and most recently worked as senior consultant in interventional cardiology at the German Heart Center and at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. With more than 6,000 coronary interventions and more than 2,000 catheter-assisted valve interventions, Prof. Dr. Mehilli among the most experienced interventionalists in Germany. In the period from 2001 to 2012, Prof. Dr. In addition to her clinical work, Mehilli managed to help set up and manage the world-renowned interventional ISAResearch center (clinical research group in the field of interventional cardiology). The center was in charge of the planning, implementation and publication of more than 50 important patient-oriented clinical studies, all of which were published in well-known journals. The results of these studies have significantly influenced the treatment of cardiac patients through their inclusion in the German and international guidelines. From 2012 she founded and headed the research group for minimally invasive cardiac procedures at the LMU and became a senior researcher at the Munich site at the DZHK (German Center for Cardiovascular Research). The large number of high-ranking publications (more than 350 papers) with a total impact factor of over 3,800 prove their scientific excellence. "It is important to me that every patient with a cardiological problem can be cared for close to their home and that they do not have to travel long distances to get medical treatment," says Prof. Dr. Mehilli.The Landshut-Achdorf Hospital already offers many modern options for treating diseases of the heart - these services are to be expanded over the next few years and expanded to include new procedures. Our goal is to be able to offer highly specialized techniques based on the latest research in a regional clinic. We also strive to be able to provide holistic care to patients with heart failure at the Landshut-Achdorf Hospital: with a combination of drug and minimally invasive catheter-based therapy.

Interventional Cardiologist

He recieved the degree in Cardiology and a doctorate in Cardiopulmonary Pathophysiology at the University of Pisa, Italy. Since 2006, He work as a vice-director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Professor at the School of Specialization in Cardiology of Pisa University. He is the author of 170 scientific papers, with >10,000 citations and an h index of 39. His main areas of interest include coronary interventions, transcatheter valvular interventions, and peripheral artery disease. He was the Chairperson of the Working Group on Aorta and Peripheral Vascular of the ESC for the term 2016-2018.

He is active in clinical research in particular in the fields of the interventional treatment of coronary artery disease (acute coronary syndromes), carotid and peripheral artery disease, and valvular heartdisease (transcatheter aortic and mitral valve interventions). I contributed to several multi-center clinical trials as Primary Investigator or Co-Primary Investigator, including ATLANTIS, GALILEO,BRAVO 2/3, PLATINUM PLUS, ACCOAST, ROSPREC, SPIRIT-WOMAN, INSTANT,RINSPIRATION, GENOUS, STEEPLE, GISSOC II, ON-TIME, BLAZE, FINESSE. He also initiated or contributed to numerous spontaneous clinical studies at his Institution

Dr Shyamkishore is the first Cardiologist of the state of Manipur with DM from AIIMS and FRCP from London and MRCP from the UK. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of cardiology in both Imaging and Interventional Cardiology. After nearly 16 years of service in the British National Health Service serving as a Consultant Cardiologist and Head of Clinical Governance at King George Hospital London he returned back to Manipur to start up SKY Hospital and serve his people. Towards this end and with the help and support of the public and well wishers he started the first full fledged heart hospital of Manipur at SKY Hospital starting Open Heart Surgery and Interventional Cardiology. Dr Shyamkishore also setup Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) to help raise awareness on heart disease and help poor patients towards their treatment. Till date MHF and SKY Hospital have seen 9976 patients for free and given 2462 Echocardiography and 200+ surgeries/interventions for free or subsidized rates. In 2019 Manipur Heart Foundation tied up with Healing Little Hearts from the UK to conduct free heart surgeries for children at SKY Hospital.

He took his medical degree at the National University of Athens. He specialized in Internal Medicine at the First Propaedeutics University Clinic. He specialized in diabetes and hypertension in the First Propaedeutics University Clinic. In 1995 he participated in a seminar of the National Center for Research, Prevention and Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus and its Complications of total duration 350 hours with the title: “Linking Diabetes Centres, and Education, of Physicians, Nurses and Health Visitors’ Since 2000 he participates annually as a lecturer – coordinator or organizer in hypertension annual seminars of Greek Society of Hypertension. He has participated as guest speaker – coordinator at more than 100 conferences in Greece and abroad. He has served as a scientific consultant for several multinational and Greek pharmaceutical companies. Warren J. Wexelman, MD, or as he is also known, “The Rockdoc”, is a life-long Brooklynite and has been a practicing cardiologist in Brooklyn for over 30 years. At Maimonides Medical Center he served as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical Therapeutics, and Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for 23 years. He was also the Founding Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation & Exercise Program. He ran the program for 16 years, and saw it become one of the nation’s largest academic cardiac rehabilitation programs. Dr. Wexelman is presently on the faculty of the NYU Langone School of Medicine, and the President of the American Heart Association in Brooklyn. He has also been the Medical Director for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer NYC since 2002. Warren has extensive media experience with numerous appearances on CNN and Good Day NY, NBC and was a regular guest on The Fox series, “Fox on Health”. Warren’s critically acclaimed radio show “Second Opinion” aired in New York City 1999-2001. In February of 2018, Dr. Wexelman teamed up with Bob Harper, the celebrity fitness guru who had suffered sudden cardiac death and a major heart attack while exercising the gym,for a national media tour.
